To drive safely we need a properly functioning brake system. In this case, Duralast is better than BrakeBest in almost every way. After going through it, I found Duralast to be the safest choice for a smooth brake.

As far as the braking system goes, Autozone manufactured Duralast and O’Reilly manufactured BrakeBest are pretty good in their category. Let’s compare between them to get a clear answer.

The brand claims these pads are brake strong and silent type. They also vibrate less and make less noise. The pads are also powder-coated backing plates for superior rust prevention and they are very affordable.

The pads and the rotors are matching sets. They have the same series for the same purpose meaning they are specially engineered for those types of cars. Another series of Duralast Elite pads are for luxury and imported vehicles.

Some people mentioned that after installing them, the cars make a really loud noise but the majority says they have been using it for years without any problems.

Pads are manufactured by Bosch and made in India. They have ceramic material that is designed to match OE formulations. To reduce the noise they added a multi-layer rubberized shim so it’s a little bit soft. In the package, they come with stainless steel hardware.

But about their stainless steel hardware, there are negative comments like the shims are in the wrong size and BrakeBest claimed that it is made in that way. Those problematic steels will be found in the BrakeBest Ceramic Disc series.

However, If you want a quiet ride and not a lot of dust then, you can choose the ceramic ones. Because it doesn’t require that much heat so it’s ok. On the other hand, if you want good performance but it’s okay to have dust then choose the metallic ones. Because the metal will help dissipate the excessive heat better.

BrakeBest vs ACDelco

ACDelco is another brand that offers brake pads, rotors, calipers, shoes, etc. For a range of vehicles, they offer ceramic, semi-metallic, and organic formula pads to provide safety and reliability.
